getting tested

THE COVID-19 TEST WILL TEST WHETHER YOU ARE CURRENTLY INFECTED WITH THE VIRUS AT THE TIME THAT YOU ARE TESTED. A SWAB MAY BE PLACED IN YOUR NOSE OR MOUTH TO DETECT THE VIRUS IN THE COLLECTED SAMPLE.

IF YOU ARE POSITIVE – YOU MAY HAVE THE VIRUS NOW AND COULD INFECT OTHERS. STAY HOME AND TAKE PRECAUTIONS TO ELIMINATE THE SPREAD SUCH AS FACE COVERINGS, SOCIAL DISTANCE AND QUARANTINE, AS WELL AS FREQUENT HAND WASHING AND SANITIZING OF HANDS.

IF YOU ARE NEGATIVE – IT IS LIKELY THAT YOU DO NOT CURRENTLY HAVE ACTIVE INFECTION WITH THE VIRUS. CONTINUE TO TAKE PRECAUTIONS SUCH AS FACE COVERINGS, SOCIAL DISTANCING WHEN IN PUBLIC PLACES AND AROUND OTHERS, AND WASH/SANITIZE HANDS FREQUENTLY THROUGHOUT THE DAY.

IF YOU TEST NEGATIVE AND BEGIN TO EXPERIENCE SYMPTOMS – GET TESTED, SPEAK WITH YOUR MEDICAL PROVIDER, OR CALL 911 IN THE EVENT THAT YOU NEED IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION.
